Best ImgChili Alternatives
Do You Use ImgChili And Are You Happy With It?
ImgChili is a popular website for uploading and sharing images. Many people use the website to host their pictures, although it has some major downsides that make it unattractive to alternative websites. The biggest problem with ImgChili is that the servers are very slow; this means that you often wait ages for your photos to upload.
Another big issue comes when people try to download all of their pictures in one go. If there are more than 100 pictures uploaded in ImgChili, you will only be able to download them in batches of 100. This can become very annoying if you have several hundred photos on the website, as every time you want to download your new images, you will need to wait for hundreds of other photos to be downloaded before your turn comes.
These are just a couple of the reasons why ImgChili is very unattractive, and there are much better alternatives out there with up-to-date servers and no download limitations. In this article, I have included three very good websites that you can use instead of ImgChili if it’s been getting on your nerves too much!
ImgChili Alternative Options
Let’s look at some other options available out there.
1. TinyPic AKA PHOTOBUCKET*– One of the best ImgChili alternatives, this is also one of the most popular websites on the Internet for uploading and sharing images. The servers are fast, allowing you to upload large batches at a time without any problems or delays. Images can be downloaded in full size with no limitations either – all you need to do is visit your image’s page and click ‘view original.’ There’s also a thumbnail download option if you only want a low resolution version of a picture too. You can even resize an existing photo by right clicking it and selecting ‘resize image’ from the menu that pops up!
2. ImageVenue – This website allows unlimited file sizes, so uploading larger images is not an issue. The only limit is the space on your hard drive – but with such a large amount of room, there’s no reason why you wouldn’t want to upload all of your images here. Again, when downloading images in this website, it is as simple as clicking ‘view original’ and selecting a low resolution image if you only want to save space!
3. ImageBam – With several thousand daily users, ImageBam has quickly become one of the most popular places for people to upload their photos. Although it does have some downsides (which I’ll get onto later), this website definitely deserves its place among the best ImgChili alternatives due to its user friendliness and incredibly fast servers which allow you to upload hundreds of images without having to wait for them all.
ImageBam’s Interface – It’s A Little Confusing at First
The main issue with ImageBam is that uploading isn’t as easy as it should be, and the website seems to be overloaded with ads and pop ups. The tab where you are supposed to click ‘browse’ and select a photo from your hard drive doesn’t work about half of the time, which can make uploading a real hassle! I’m not sure if this problem has been fixed because I haven’t visited this website in a while, but from what I remember from my last visit there were lots of other niggly issues that got on my nerves.
In spite of the issues, this website is still very popular and there are several redeeming features that make it a great ImgChili alternative. It’s especially good if you need to resize an image; go to the webpage where you want your newly resized photo and click ‘upload new version.’ You can then select one of three options: thumbnail (low resolution), medium size or full size (high resolution). Once you have done this, simply click on ‘resize’ and wait for about half a minute. Then, click on ‘save all changes,’ which will automatically add your image into your post!
Skyzoo Digital Picture Frame – 10.1 Inch FHD IPS Touch Screen Digital Photo Frame with 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, Share Photos Remotely via Frameo APP, for Friends is the frame I use to display images.
Other than that, one of ImageBam’s best features is its batch download button – simply browse through your images on the website and click the batch download button (which is located at the bottom of each image), and you will be able to select ‘full size’ for all of them. You can also choose to opt-out of downloading images, which is especially useful if you only want the high resolution version instead of having a larger file size on your hard drive that you don’t need!
ImgChili Alternative Options – Conclusion
Although ImgChili has very bad servers that regularly go down, it’s difficult to ignore the convenience factor – uploading hundreds upon hundreds of pictures at once can normally take mere minutes, depending on how fast your home connection is. However, TinyPic, ImageVenue and ImageBam are much better alternatives with up-to-date servers that don’t take forever to load a bunch of images. Additionally, you can resize your photos on ImageBam and TinyPic, although it’s a slow process with the latter website.
After reading this article, hopefully, you’ll be able to make a good decision as to which ImgChili alternative is best for you. If none of them suits your needs or there is another alternative I have not mentioned here today, please feel free to leave a comment below – I would be glad to reply as soon as possible! In addition, if you come across any problems while uploading/downloading images from any of these websites please tell me too so I can improve my guide accordingly. Thank you for reading and good luck with whatever service you end up choosing to use!
Why I Think Tiny Pic ( Photobucket ) Is The Better ImgChili Alternative- How To Post Images Online Without Waiting Hours For Them To Load
Imgchili is a free image hosting solution, fast and reliable. It can be very useful for hosting images for web forums, especially if the forum host has limited space available. But imgchili isn’t safe. Your images are not private. Shutterfly allows you to create personalised photo gifts at the lowest prices with the highest quality The problem with Imgchili is that it’s good but dangerous too because you have no privacy at all, your images aren’t hosted on your own server so certain things are out of your control. On one side it’s great because uploading is really easy and it automatically adds your links to posts on forums or for sharing stuff between friends on Facebook or Tumblr. But the problem is that anyone can download your images without having an imgchili account, they are completely free to be used by anyone who wants them. That’s why I use TinyPic instead, you do have to pay for certain features but it’s not expensive at all. If you want to post photos online using imgchili alternatives then I recommend TinyPic because uploading images takes less than a minute even if you’re just uploading 100 of them. I had been using Tiny Pic for several years and loved their service.
I was looking around for some sites where I could upload my personal photos without having too many people see them, most image hosting websites act like ImgChili… they allow anyone to download and use your pictures without any restrictions. That’s why I started using TinyPic because it does offer a lot of features that ImgChili doesn’t have and the prices are very cheap too. The first time you upload pictures they will take a long time to appear online (it might be necessary for me to clear my browser cache) but after these initial problems everything works fine… make sure you use the full size option if available, this is where you save images at their maximum resolution before downsizing them with another website or program.
Photobucket
TinyPic Has Ceased Operations
Due to an inability to support a high-quality free digital service that derives 100% of its revenue from ever declining on-site revenues, TinyPic has shut down its operations. As previously announced on the Photobucket website, September 16, 2019 was the last day for our users to access their accounts to download their images.
What Should You Do Now?
We recommend checking out our sister company, Photobucket, for image hosting. They are currently offering an unlimited image hosting and storage plan for $13 per month (with other options priced as low as $6 per month). We would like to personally thank you for choosing TinyPic as your hosting service. Many of you have been utilizing our services since we launched back in April 2004.
