“Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” is a 1985 single by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush. It was featured in the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things” during the season 2 finale. The song serves as a poignant moment between two of the main characters, Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers. It’s hauntingly beautiful yet tense melody captures the emotions both characters are feeling while they try to make sense of their situation.
The song’s lyrics express yearning for an easier path and a longing for control over one’s destiny — themes that resound throughout the series. Additionally, its driving pace matches the intensity of various action scenes throughout Stranger Things, providing an exciting backdrop for these moments.
“Running Up That Hill” is a song by British singer Kate Bush, released in 1985. The 2018 remastered album The Hounds Of Love re-ignited the popularity of the song. Now we’ll look at the Running Up That Hill Chords in detail.
It is a fan favorite and has been covered by numerous artists over the years. The song features a powerful and emotive vocal performance by Bush, as well as a memorable and catchy chord progression.
The chord progression for “Running Up That Hill” is relatively simple and consists of just four chords: D, A, Bm, and G. The song is played in the key of D major, and the chords are as follows:
To play the chord progression, start by strumming the D chord and then moving on to the A chord. From there, you can either strum the Bm chord or play the D chord again before moving on to the G chord. Repeat this pattern throughout the song.
One thing to note is that the song uses a lot of open chords, which means that the chords are played with the strings ringing open rather than being fretted. This gives the song a bright and open sound, and it also makes it easier to play, as you don’t have to worry about stretching your fingers to reach certain frets.
Overall, “Running Up That Hill” is a great song to add to your repertoire, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced musician. The chord progression is easy to play and the song’s catchy melody and emotive lyrics make it a crowd-pleaser. With a little practice, you’ll be running up that hill in no time!
If you’re a fan of the classic ‘80s song “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush, then you know how great it sounds when those power chords soar out of the speakers. But did you know that there’s an even more special version of this song – one with the chords changed slightly to create a unique and beautiful interpretation? Let’s take a closer look at the difference between the original and new “Running Up That Hill” chord progressions!
The original version of “Running Up That Hill” features an A-G-F#m progression, which is repeated throughout the song. The new version flips this around, using an E-F#m-D progression instead. This change may seem small but it makes a big difference in terms of sound – creating a richer and more sophisticated feeling than before. Additionally, the change adds depth and complexity to the melody that wasn’t present in the original version.
The altered chord progression also gives Kate Bush’s vocals more room to shine through as well, making them stand out against the instrumentation like never before. Combined with her captivating lyrics, this new chord structure elevates each line of “Running Up That Hill” to something truly special. Thanks to Stranger Things, it’s played often once again.
If you haven’t heard this remastered version yet, now is your chance! With its fresher sound and beautiful arrangement, it’s sure to be a hit with any fan of classic rock music – so don’t miss out!
Not only does the alternate chord progression of the “Running Up That Hill” give it a unique and beautiful feel, but it also helps to lull listeners into an even more dreamy atmosphere. The soft E-F#m-D pattern creates a trance-like state that envelopes the listener in its gentle embrace. When paired with Kate Bush’s ethereal vocals, this new version of “Running Up That Hill” is truly mesmerizing – especially when experienced through headphones or speakers with good bass response.
In addition to its dreamy sound, this alternate version also has extra layers of depth and emotion that weren’t present in the original recording. For example, adding some minor chords into the chorus can help to bring out a sense of longing and tension – creating an air of intimacy that was missing from before. Similarly, adding some major chords into the bridge gives it a sense of optimism and hope – making it easier for listeners to get lost in their thoughts as they drift away on this musical journey.
Verse 1: It doesn’t hurt me. You want to feel how it feels. You want to know, know that it doesn’t hurt me. You want to hear about the deal that I’m making.
Chorus: We have to deal with the mystery. We have to be brave and we have to be true, And we have to run. We have to run up that hill, and back down again.
Verse 2: It doesn’t hurt me. Do you want to feel how it feels? Do you want to know, know that it doesn’t hurt me? You want to hear about the deal that I’m making.
Chorus: We have to deal with the mystery. We have to be brave, and we have to be true, And we have to run. We have to run Up that hill, and back down again.
Bridge: I’m gonna make a deal with God. He’s gonna give me what I want. I’m gonna make a deal with God. He’s gonna give me what I want.
Chorus: We have to deal with the mystery. We have to be brave, and we have to be true, And we have to run. We have to run Up that hill, and back down again.
Outro: It doesn’t hurt me. Do you want to feel how it feels? Do you want to know, know that it doesn’t hurt me? Do you want to hear about the deal that I’m making?

Bohemian Rhapsody celebrates the band Queen, their music, and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers ever. Watch it on Prime or buy the movie.Continue reading
If you’re looking to add some serious sound to your home theater or music setup, you’re going to need more than one speaker. But how do you know which speakers to pair together? In this blog post, we’ll give you some tips on how to choose the right JBL speakers to create the perfect sound system for your needs.
JBL speakers are some of the most popular speakers on the market and for good reason. They offer great sound quality and are very easy to use. If you’re looking to pair your JBL speakers together, there are a few things you need to know.
First, make sure that both speakers are powered on and within range of each other. If they’re not, they won’t be able to connect.
Next, press and hold the “pair” button on one of the speakers. This will put the speaker into pairing mode.
Once the speaker is in pairing mode, go to your Bluetooth settings on your phone or other device and select the speaker from the list of available devices.
Once it’s connected, you should hear a confirmation tone from the speaker. You can then repeat these steps for the second speaker.
And that’s it! Your JBL speakers should now be paired together and ready to use. Enjoy your music!
If you want to connect your JBL speakers to your computer, you will need to use a 3.5mm audio cable. First, plug the audio cable into the headphone jack on your computer. Next, plug the other end of the audio cable into the Aux In port on the back of the right speaker. Finally, turn on your speakers and adjust the volume to your desired level.
Visit The JBL Store Here
If you want to set up your JBL speakers, you will need to connect the speakers to an audio source. The most common audio sources are a TV, computer, or stereo system. Once you have connected the speakers to an audio source, you will need to adjust the volume on the audio source to the desired level. You may also need to adjust the Equalizer settings on the audio source to get the best sound quality from the speakers.
If you want to pair your JBL speakers, you will need to do the following:
1. Make sure that the speakers are turned off.
2. Connect the two speakers together using the speaker wire.
3. Plug the speaker wire into the “Speaker Out” port on the back of the left speaker.
4. Turn on the speakers.
5. Push and hold the “Pair” button on the back of the left speaker for about 5 seconds. The “Pair” button is located next to the “Speaker Out” port.
6. Push and hold the “Pair” button on the back of the right speaker for about 5 seconds. The right speaker will make a beeping sound when it is ready to be paired.
7. The two speakers should now be paired and you should hear sound coming from both of them.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the best way to pair JBL speakers will vary depending on the specific model and setup of the speakers. However, there are a few general tips that can help ensure optimal performance:
1. Position the speakers so that they are equidistant from the listening position. This will help create a more uniform sound field.
2. If possible, angle the speakers slightly inward so that they are aimed directly at the listening position. This will help to focus the sound and minimize reflections from nearby surfaces.
3. Make sure that the speakers are properly calibrated. This will ensure that they are outputting the correct level of sound and that the sound is balanced between the left and right channel.
4. Experiment with the placement of the speakers until you find a configuration that sounds best to you.
Assuming you would like tips on how to ensure your JBL speakers are properly paired:
When setting up your JBL speakers, be sure to place them in close proximity to each other. This will help to ensure that they are properly paired. If you have difficulty getting them to pair, try resetting them by holding down the power button for 10 seconds. If that doesn’t work, try deleting the speaker from your device’s Bluetooth settings and then re-pairing it.
Once your speakers are paired, you can begin using them. If you have any issues with audio quality, be sure to check the distance between the speakers and your device. If they are too far apart, the sound may be choppy. Also, make sure that there are no obstructions between the speakers and your device.
If you are still having trouble, try contacting JBL customer support. They should be able to help you troubleshoot the issue and get your speakers working properly.
If you don’t pair your JBL speakers correctly, they won’t work together and you won’t be able to get stereo sound. Each speaker will only play one channel of audio, so you’ll only get half the sound that you should be getting.
This can be frustrating, especially if you’re trying to enjoy music or watch a movie. To avoid this, make sure that you follow the instructions for pairing your JBL speakers correctly. If you’re still having trouble, there are plenty of resources online that can help you troubleshoot the issue.Continue reading

If you don’t know the track, just from those lyrics, you need a kick up the arse.
Without a doubt the best live performance I have been to, for the sheer passion and dynamics between performers and audience. I first saw Faithless many moons ago at the Faithless Concert in Manchester in March, 2007. Funky Scottish electro musician, no these aren’t my words, Calvin Harris was supporting and boy what a load of crap that proved to be.
I saw Faithless in Manchester and loved every damn second of the concert. As someone who has bought all their albums ( usually on the day of release ) this was a group I knew I had to see live.
Rollo, Sister Bliss and Maxi Jazz just rock the music world wherever they play. Sales of 15 million+ records and counting is ample proof of the sheer brilliance, of this electronic act.
Now it really is a toss up which track I prefer. Insomnia is a popular one with the masses, as it’s one of the most played dance tracks. We Come One is another favourite of mine. Don’t Leave, Salva Mea, Not Going Home, Mass Destruction, One Step Too Far or Muhammad Ali all are great in their own rights. Want your own copy of Insomnia? Click here for it.
A couple of interesting facts; Felix’s ‘Don’t U Want Me’, was produced by Rollo, selling over 2 1/2 million copies.
Dido is Rollos sister, so he co-wrote and produced Angel and Life for Rent, her first 2 albums. Again these both went on to sell over 12 million copies EACH!
So if you ever get the chance to go and see Faithless live, do it. Back in 2007 I enjoyed the passion of Sister Bliss and the energy of Maxi Jazz which made it an unforgettable evening.
