Go Big or Go Home…

So that’s the challenge that this joint sets, really? Think FLS would shy away from a Go Big challenge? Not a hope!

Right on the strip sits this TV presenter’s restaurant, Guy Fieri’s Vagas Kitchen & Bar. If you’re not familiar with  Guy, he’s the host of Drive-Ins, Diners and Dives so he should know a thing or two about a decent burger. Buoyed by a decent win on the slot machines FLS though it only right that we try out the restaurant on your behalf.

We were tempted by the Ceasar salad and considered the Greek salad for all of a second and then delved straight into the Big Bite Burger Menu.

The Orginal Ringer Burger sounded pretty good, onion rings, cheese, BBQ sauce and garlic buttered brioche bun all sounded pretty good. Add on a hefty burger (weird that no mention is made of the weight on the menu) and fries and it sounds pretty damn good to us. There was a wait, the place was busy and it felt as if the bigger groups were getting more attention than us, we had to stop a member of staff to get more drinks and to place the order, do they not know who we are?

But, when it did arrive,  it was good, really good. Meat that tasted of beef, not a brown lump of filler that needs hot sauce to make to taste of anything. Soft brioche bun and that garlic butter, perfection!Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar

Now as you can see from the menu, this was a $20 burger and then there’s the tip and the 8% or so of tax. That’s a hefty price for a burger however good it is. But it was on the strip in Las Vegas, it was a fun, loud, busy atmosphere and we had winnings to spend and a great burger seemed a better option to ploughing it back into the slot machines.
