How to Bag Free Hotel Stays
What if we told you that we’ve enjoyed 10 night stays in Dubai and two-week tours of America where we’ve not paid a single penny for the hotels we’re stayed in? And no, this isn’t sofa surfing or on the park bench, this is staying in Intercontinental. Waldorf Astoria and Crowne Plaza hotels.
So this one is simple, get the IHG credit card and start racking up points towards free stays. Use it for everything that you buy and pay off in full, really pay it off completely every month. If you don’t you’re going to have an interest rate of 41.5%. Don’t give them the pleasure of hitting you charges like this, play the game use it for everything and pay it off.
The IHG group includes the hotel chains Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express.
Spend £200 on the card within the first three months and you get 20,000 points which are enough to get you a free night stay in a huge range of hotels around the world.
- Earn 4 IHG Rewards Club points for every £1 you spend at any IHG family of hotels
- Earn 4 IHG Rewards Club points for every £1 you spend abroad
- Earn 2 IHG Rewards Club points for every £1 you spend everywhere else
Spend £10k in a year and before the anniversary of getting your card and you’ll get a free night voucher. You’ll be able to use this in any IHG hotel around the world. £10k may sound a lot but think about how much you pay out for fuel, supermarket shopping, season ticket for football or paying for your annual holiday it all adds up pretty quickly.
IHG also have Point Break offers which are launched every quarter and which offer hotel stays from just 5,000 points. So that 20,000 points from spending just £200 could get you a FREE FOUR NIGHT STAY.
Free hotel stays for doing nothing more than using a credit card for your spending!
Hilton used to have a very similar offer but they have withdrawn it as of March 2018. The offer was to spend £750 on the card in the first three months and then you received a voucher to stay in any Hilton hotel. We used the voucher to stay at The Roosevelt Waldorf Astoria in New Orleans which is the kind of hotel where guys in top hats and capes open doors for you.
They will announce a new offer so keep an eye out on their website for more information.
