Why choose paint that is both water-based and low VOC (volatile organic compound)?

There are many benefits to using water-based paint which has a relatively low VOC count compared to other paints on the market. We have carefully designed our products with ease of use in mind, ensuring they are not only long lasting but also safe for you and your family. Apart from being safer, LICK Acrylics are also more beneficial for the environment and take pride of place in any contemporary home.

So how does LICK Acrylics compare to regular paints?

LICK has developed a range of water-based acrylic paint made from only the finest quality ingredients. They contain no harmful chemicals such as acrylates, alkyds or solvents and are completely odourless. LICK Acrylic paints are suitable for almost all smooth surfaces including wood, metal, glass and most plastics.

They offer a superior service from the initial consultation to the finished job. They have an ever-increasing range of high quality paint colours to choose from as well as contemporary wallpapers which complement their collection perfectly. Their ongoing support for their customers is second to none; they offer ongoing customer service, free samples and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

What can I use LICK Paint on?

LICK Acrylic paints are suitable for almost all smooth surfaces including wood, metal, glass and most plastics, so yes pretty much everything!

The advantages of using LICK’s water-based paint are clear but the impact goes much further. By encouraging customers to plan ahead, they’ve helped reduce litter in our streets and by-ways; not only this but recycling their old paint tins helps save energy (less power is required to make new cans) and reduces emissions.

What are the benefits of using LICK’s low VOC paint?

Like many other manufacturers, they have reduced the amount of chemicals in their products to make them friendlier for the environment. With a low VOC count, this is one of the main environmental advantages to using LICK Acrylics. There are also health benefits associated with using our paints, as many VOC’s can cause nausea and headaches. LICK paint is completely odourless and has minimal fumes.

What maintenance requirements are there?

Lick Acrylics have very low odour so they require no ventilation when being used which means you won’t need to worry about opening all your windows or creating a negative pressure in the room.

A damp cloth will clean fresh paint and a dry cloth will remove any spills or marks. You can also use household cleaners when needed which is much better for your walls than using chemical cleaners that weren’t designed to be used with paint.
